Take the D19 towards Saint Antonin for 300 m and take the path that goes up on the right. Continue straight on until you reach the old bread oven (be careful, as there is a risk of falling rocks). Fork left and then continue on the path that climbs to the right and leads to the church of Saint-Amans-le-Vieux.

 At the intersection, turn right. At the crossroads, turn left onto a carriage road. Cross the road and continue on the path opposite; narrow at first, it gradually widens. At the crossroads, after the cross on the slab of a dolmen, take the path on the right

on a carriage road that runs across the plateau. Cross the road and go straight on. Take the D926 to the right for 50 m, then go left. On the right, pass a wooden cross. After this viewpoint on Caylus, turn left on the old Roman road.

 and reach a crossroads. Turn right and continue to the road

 At the two forks, turn right.
Before the remains of the cross, take the path on the right, then follow the tarmac road on the left; pass the Fournet farm and continue on the right.

Access to the sanctuary of Notre-Dame-de-Livron and the grotto is 300 m downhill on the left (white-red markings).

 The path runs along the ridge. At the stone and brick dovecote, turn left. At the water reserve, turn right and follow the tarmac road back to the centre of Caylus. Cross the D926 and head towards the market hall. Go up the rue du Château. Take the Gauléjac lane on the right which joins the Rue du Rempart, turn right. After the old public school, go down to the right through the garden, towards the entrance of the lake.

The circus of Labarthe, with its two woods which border it, classified as a Sensitive Natural Area thanks to the richness and variety of their flora. The walk can be enhanced by a visit to the museum in the Maison du Patrimoine and a tour of the lake. Once on the Causse, at the level of the viewpoint of the cross, you can see a magnificent panorama of the village of Caylus.
